It is a top quality LIHUA AC fired CDI produced by LIHUA used on 253FMM twin engine which carries 2 ignition coils (two ignition coils are connected in parallel before connecting CDI) . The AC fired CDI is often found on such Motorcycle/ATV with 253FMM 4 stroke 250cc twin engine, such as Rebel CA250 CMX250(A/C fired version), Vento Barracuda, KEEWAY Supertiger, Tank Vision 250, Baja Phoenix 250 etc. The DC fired CDI is often found on Regal Raptor DD250E DD250G DD300.Because there are two types of CDI for 253FMM twin engine, one is AC fired CDI, another is DC fired CDI,please confirm whether your CDI is AC fired one or DC fired one before purchase. If your old stator is a 11-coil one, your CDI must be an AC fired one. If your old stator is a 12-coil one or an 18-coil one, your CDI must be a DC fired one.
How to know whether your CDI is AC fired or DC fired:
1. Please check where the power line of your CDI is from. If it is from DC battery, it is DC fired CDI; If it is from magneto system, it is AC fired CDI. If there is a kill switch line on CDI and ignition lock, it is an AC fired CDI; if there is no kill switch line on CDI and ignition lock, it is a DC fired CDI.
2. If you cannot start your engine by kick start when you remove both battery and rectifier regulator, your CDI is DC fired CDI; if you still can start your engine without battery and rectifier regulator, it is AC fired CDI .
